Summary

Braun Ambulances is recalling certain 2019 and 2021 MX170E Ford E-Series, and 2019-2020 MXP170E Dodge Ram 5500 Demers Ambulance vehicles equipped with a sliding attendant seat on the passenger-side of the ambulance patient compartment. The locking pin assembly in the sliding attendant seat may fail under certain loading conditions. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 207, “Seating Systems” and 210, “Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages.”

Remedy

Braun will notify owners and dealers will replace the locking pin assembly, free of charge. The recall began on April 2, 2021. Owners may contact Braun Ambulances customer service at 1-877-344-9990.
